Improved Sensorless Control of Multiphase Synchronous Reluctance Machine Under Position Sensor Fault

This paper presents an investigation on the self-sensing capability of a dual three-phase synchronous reluctance motor. Self-sensing refers to ability motor properly operate in sensorless drive. The multiphase machine is decomposed into two different systems according multi-stator approach. Several supply scenarios are studied where windings controlled at operating points along reference trajectory. analysis carried out both with FEA simulations and experimental tests. In first part rotor locked derive observer trajectories find regions which can without position sensor. A comparison between simulated results given. Finally, control strategy that allows exploiting under sensor fault developed validated through
